IMPORTANT - Purple Reading Journals
In Mulberry we are having a big focus this term on reading as a number of children are not bringing in their reading journals from home into school each day. The children really want to get onto the R.A.L.F board and to do this they need to be reading daily at home and having their journal signed. Please can you ensure that your child is bringing in their reading journal to school everyday. Thank you.
We have had a fantastic morning with the author, Karen Greaves.
Telling the time (Tuesday 23rd May 2023)
In maths this week we have been working on telling the time. Today a sheet has been sent home, this sheet is for your child to practice telling the time at home. Please return this sheet after half term.
We would usually do a spelling test on Wednesday but today there was some confusion over the words that should have been learnt. We will be testing the following words on Wednesday 24th May.
Living Lands Show - Thursday 4th May 2023

West Malling Library Books
We had a wonderful time at the library and learnt lots of interesting things!
Some children were able to take books home (if they were registered on the library system). Please ensure that the books are returned to your local library on the date stamped inside the book. These books should not be taken into school and the school is not responsible for the books if they are lost or damaged.
If you would like to take your child to the library or to sign up for a library card all the details can be found here: https://kent.spydus.co.uk/cgi-bin/spydus.exe/MSGTRN/WPAC/JOIN
LIBRARY CARDS - Tuesday
Tomorrow (Tuesday) we are going to West Malling Library. A parent mail was sent out to remind you about making sure your child has a library card. Please ensure that they bring it with them on Tuesday to allow them to take a book out. Thank you.

Welcome back - Term 4
Welcome back to school and into term 4. We have lots of exciting things planned this term. Next week is book week where we have an author coming in to visit and the opportunity for the children to dress up as their favourite book character. A class trip has been planned for Tuesday 28th March with letters to follow shortly.
Home Learning - Friday 3rd February
This week's home learning is another crossword but this week it is based on your child's learning this term! Let them show off all their knowledge to you!
On Wednesday (18th) the children have the exciting opportunity to plant a tree each. Please ensure that they bring to school a pair of welly boots/old shoes in a carrier bag ready to be worn for the tree planting. Children should wear their normal school shoes to school on Wednesday.
Home Learning Term 3
This term home learning will be set on a weekly basis rather than a whole term task sheet. On a Friday your child's home learning will be issued and it needs to be returned inside the home learning book on the following Wednesday. This week's home learning is based on our computing topic animation.
Please ensure that your child is bringing their reading journal to school each day. It is essential that we have this in school so that we can track reading at home and record reading in school too. Thank you!
Welcome back to school. We hope you've had a restful and fun break and you are back refreshed and ready to learn!
Our new PE days are Tuesdays and Thursdays. Please ensure that your child comes to school in their PE kit on these days.
