We are very proud of our school, and welcome visitors to watch some of the amazing learning and achievement that happens each day. Sometimes guests comment on what they have seen, and below are key quotations and links to key reports that reflect our work and commitment.
West Malling is judged to be a "good" school by Ofsted (January 2023), and also by SIAMS which examines the school's achievement and Christian distinctiveness.
"Pupils are happy and thrive in this caring school. Children develop very positive friendships with one another." (Ofsted 2023)
"Pupils learn about the school values and apply these to their school life. For example, the values of 'perseverance' and 'love' are lived out by pupils in their attitudes to work and friendships across the school." (Ofsted 2023)
The school "provides a well-sequenced and ambitious curriculum" and teachers "make effective use of their time in class." (Ofsted 2023)
"The Christian vision is woven through school life so that the community actively embrace inclusion and flourishing. As a result, pupils express their thoughts and act with certainty." (SIAMS 2022).
"Pupils say that receiving kindness spurs them on to show kindness to others. They are encouraged to consider questions that challenge their views. Exploring what it means to help others, provides them with opportunities to ask 'big questions' about the world around them." (SIAMS 2022).
"He went to his first day at secondary school this morning happy, excited and looking confident. This is entirely down to all the work, support, faith and love you have shown him whilst he was at West Malling CE Primary. He couldn't have been in better hands." (Parent 2023)
"I just wanted to say thank you for all your amazing caring, understanding and hard work with her over her years at West Malling. It's been a joy as a mother to watch her grow and develop into the little woman she is becoming and you as a school have been a huge part in that." (Parent 2023)
"The children sang beautifully and we were all really impressed. They were also extremely well behaved; they were excellent ambassadors for the school." (Elaine Gordon, Chair East Malling Singers 2023)
