Monday 8th February

Today's focus is multiplication and division word problems - with a wintery theme. These are based around situations that you might come across in real life.

Monday 1st - Wednesday 3rd February

This week, we are going to be practising division using sharing and grouping, to make sure that we have really understood how it works.

There is a helpful video below that explains both methods, and then a variety of activities for you to try over the three days this week.

Some of them are word problems, so you might need a grown up to help you read the questions.

Monday 25th - Wednesday 27th January

This week, we are learning how to divide equally. Your knowledge of times-tables will be really, really helpful here because dividing is the inverse (opposite) of multiplying. 

For example: 6 x 2 = 12

                     2 x 6 = 12

                    12 ÷ 2 = 6

                    12 ÷ 6 = 2

If you know your times-tables, you know your division facts as well!

The videos below are really helpful in explaining how to work out division calculations. Ignore the last bit when they ask you to complete the worksheet - just have a try at any of the activities posted further down. I'll be adding more soon.
