Welcome Back!

We have had a great two weeks in year 2 and we are really looking forward to a fantastic year ahead!

Please remember to contact us on the Cherry Class email cherryteacher@west-malling.kent.sch.uk if you have any questions or information to give us.

PE will be on Monday and Wednesday and children need to come to school in their PE kits.

Reading books

Don’t forget to bring in your reading books each Friday.

You will receive a Read Write Inc book which matches learning in class.

Don’t forget to:

  • Make sure you read the words at the front, sounding out green words and saying red words.
  • Read the story multiple times through the week, building speed and expression.
  • Retell the story using the images at the back, making sure you add as much detail as possible.
