Learner of the Week

Term 5 

Friday 14th May 2021 - Levy

Levy has shown excellent progression this week in his maths work with Mrs Adams, Levy can now identify some numbers and show what numbers can make that number too. Levy has started reading 3 books per week and can identify all of his words that he practises daily with Mrs Wenborn. Levy did really well in science this week identifying different bones in his body and drawing these onto a diagram. Levy worked nicely with other children in PE and helped his team mates by showing great sportsmanship. Mrs Wenborn, Mrs White, Mrs Adams, Mrs Fuller and I are all so proud of how much progress you are making, well done Levy!

Friday 7th May 2021 - Fraser

This week we have chosen Fraser as our learner of the week due to his new determined attitude towards his learning. After speaking with Fraser at parents evening he has made a more determined effort to read daily and this is helping his confidence with his English too. Well done, Fraser, you have impressed many adults this week. 

 

Friday 30th April 2021 - Alana

Alana has been chosen as our learner of week because of her excellent attitude and role model behaviour. Alana always works incredibly hard and is always showing compassion by helping other children in the class. We could choose Alana most weeks as she is always letting her light shine and being incredibly positive. Well done Alana.

Friday 23rd April 2021 - Harrison

Harrison has worked incredibly hard since coming back from our Easter break. Harrison has shown an incredibly mature attitude towards his learning this week and has produce some fantastic work which includes a first draft copy of a non-chronological report about Iceland. Well done Harrison!

Term 4 

 

Learner of Term 4 - Oliver 

This term we have chosen Oliver as our learner of the term. Oliver showed amazing resilience throughout the lockdown ensuring that he completed all the work set, this in turn has helped Oliver to be the best he can be during Term 4. Oliver has produced some amazing work this term, including an excellent newspaper article. This article was presented extremely neatly and Oliver also thought carefully about the content ensuring that he used all the key features. Oliver always works incredibly hard, he has started to contribute more in class and has really grown in confidence over the past term. Mrs Fuller and I are incredibly impressed with Oliver's new found voice and we hope this continues throughout his time at West Malling. Well done Oliver.

 

26th March 2021 - Sam

This week we have chosen Sam as our learner of the week. Sam always tries his best in class and will always contribute his ideas. Sam really impressed us this week with his excellent description of what Mountain Rescue do. Sam always tries his best. Well done Sam.

19th March 2021 - Luca

Our learner of the week this week is Luca. Luca always tries his best and perseveres when things are a little tricky, he always listens to instructions, engages with class discussions and offers his ideas. Luca is a pleasure to have in Mulberry class and is a good friend to all. Well done Luca!

12th March 2021 - Brooke W

Well done to our learner of the week Brooke W. Brooke has worked really hard this week and has shown great focus in lessons. Brooke has arrived to school ready to learn each day and has shown a really mature attitude towards her learning. We are really impressed with Brooke and are really proud of all she has achieved so far, keep up the excellent focused work Brooke! 

4th March 2021 - Iris

Well done to our learner of the week Iris. Iris has been in our keyworker bubble and Miss Hallett told me all about the excellent work you have been doing whilst in school. You have been engaging in class and working incredibly hard - we are very pleased with your excellent attitude towards learning. Well done Iris!

25th February 2021 - Nell

This week our learner of the week is Nell! Nell has worked so hard at home and has tried her best throughout the time we have been working from home. Nell has produced some excellent work and has submitted all work that she has been set to a great standard! Well done Nell!

Term 3

Learner of the Term 3 - Elodie

This term we have chosen Elodie as our Learner of the Term. This term Elodie has shown determination, resilience and motivation but, above all, an excellent mature attitude towards her remote learning. Elodie has completed all tasks assigned to her throughout the duration of our time remote learning and has kept her presentation and content as excellent as it would have been if we were in class. Elodie has accessed Mathletics everyday alongside reading regularly on Bug Club. Elodie has regularly attended our class zoom calls and contributed her ideas in a thoughtful manner, listening and reflecting on others thoughts and opinions as well as expressing her own. Elodie has been a real trooper during these tough times and has shown a real commitment to her learning despite facing challenges. Well done Elodie, Mrs Fuller and I are very proud of you.

Hannah - 4th February 2021

This week our learner of the week in Mulberry is Hannah. Not only has Hannah been producing some excellent work whilst we are remote learning but Hannah has made a video teaching her very own lesson! The lesson is a phonics lesson about the special friends 'oa'. If you would like to watch this lesson please look in our remote learning gallery and you will find Hannah's superb video. Well done Hannah, you have impressed a lot of people with your super teaching skills. 

Oliver - 28th January 2021

Well done Oliver for impressing Mrs Fuller and I with your excellent perseverance and determination throughout this term. You have worked really hard, especially accessing BugClub regularly and reading almost 20 books in the last 2 weeks! Well done Oliver! smiley

George 21st January 2021

Well done George for your hard work this week in our key worker provision in school. Miss Hallett told me how well you have contributed and engaged this week in the classroom. I was so impressed with your super persuasive letter and I look forward to reading the completed letter next week! Well done George.

Abel - 15th January 2021

During our second week of remote teaching Abel has really impressed the adults in Mulberry class. Abel has tried all the tasks that have been set and has really tried hard to keep his presentation of his work at a good level. Abel has also been trying out some extra activities at home too. Well done Abel!

Harley - 8th January 2021

Well done to our learner of the week, Harley. During our first week of remote teaching Harley has really impressed the adults in Mulberry class with his super work and attitude towards his learning, all work that has been sent in is beautifully presented and neat. Well done Harley!
