This page is for all additional activities you may want to do whilst we are learning remotely! These activities are not essential but may give you some inspiration if you are feeling like doing some more

Instructions to make rainbow fizz ��

EQUIPMENT

White vinegar

Food colouring |
Step 1 First, carefully pour a small cup of bicarbonate of soda into your container.
Step 2 Then, gently squeeze your food colouring (as many different colours as you like) in blobs on top of the bicarbonate of soda.
Step 3, Finally, quickly pour on the cup of white vinegar and watch for the rainbow fizz! Stir if you like!

Nell and her brother James (from Lime class) have made friendship stones and then hid them around the garden. What a fun idea!
Hannah's Chocolate Corn Flake Crunch Cake!!
I have taken this recipe from BBC Good Food. This is very similar to the recipe Hannah would have used to make her super corn flake crunch cake! Thank you Hannah for inspiring us to create these tasty treats!
Ingredients
- 50g butter
- 100g milk chocolate, broken into chunks
- 3 tbsp golden syrup
- 100g cornflakes
Method
- STEP 1
Children: Weigh out the ingredients. Older children can do this by themselves with supervision and little ones can help to pour or spoon ingredients into the weighing scales. Put 50g butter, 100g milk chocolate, broken into chunks and 3 tbsp golden syrup in a saucepan or microwavable bowl. Put 100g cornflakes in another large bowl.
- STEP 2
Grown ups: Melt the weighed butter, chocolate and golden syrup in the saucepan over a low heat or briefly in the microwave. Allow to cool a little before pouring over the cornflakes.
- STEP 3
Children: Stir the ingredients together gently using a wooden spoon. Spoon the mixture into 12 cupcake cases arranged on a muffin tray (or baking sheet, if you don’t have one). Grown ups will need to do this for younger children or simply arrange on a tray and let the mess happen. Put in the fridge to set.
